North East Chapter, ASI was born on 30th of June, 2018 in Guwahati by eight founder members, in a meeting held with the ASI President and Secretary during that time. It was formally recognized on 1st September that year, in an EC meeting of the ASI held in Imphal, Manipur. This chapter of ASI includes the surgeons of 5 states of the North East, including Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim.
